In his recently published review of the UK’s Intellectual Property framework, Andrew Gowers concludes that whilst overall the system performs satisfactorily, in an increasingly globalised economy reforms are necessary to ensure a fair and balanced system that protects rights without jeopardising innovation and competitiveness.
Final Evaluation 'First Stop Shop' Project Phase 2
An evaluation of the second phase of the ArtsMatrix 'First Stop Shop' project, March 2005 - December 2006.
The report highlights the positive response of creative practitioners to the programme:
• 88% of beneficiaries rated ArtsMatrix’s services as “excellent” or “good”.
• 85% of beneficiaries rated their experience of undertaking a DNA as “excellent” or “good”.
• 90% of those who responded would recommend ArtsMatrix to other creative practitioners.

Report on Support for Individual Creative Practitioners in the South West
Arts Council England South West commissioned ArtsMatrix in Spring 2007 to research the existing support framework for individual artists and creative practitioners working in the South West.
The research was charged with identifying strengths and weaknesses within current support, identifying artists' and creative individuals' development pathways, and imagining an effective future support framework.

ArtsMatrix Annual Report 2006-07
Working across the South West, ArtsMatrix aims to help artists and businesses operating in the creative industries achieve their potential.

Final Evaluation of the Skills Development Programme
Dr Karen Yair's evaluation of the 2006-2008 Skills Development Programme (SDP), supported by SWRDA, Culture South West and Arts Council England SW, concludes that
"Overall, the SDP has delivered strong value for money against its targets, in an efficient and cost effective manner, and made a significant wider contribution to the creative economy and the infrastructures supporting it."
